All beef products, including organ meats, can be safely stored frozen for at least one year. If you grind the organs and portion them for your pet’s meals, be sure to freeze in an airtight plastic freezer-safe bag, or similar container.
The easiest way to prepare organ meats for your dog is to grind them up in a food processor. Then, it’s as easy as portioning the ground organ meat into their daily rations. You can also ration it into single meal servings and freeze for ease of each feeding. As a general rule, organ meat should comprise 10 to 15% of a dog’s balanced diet. Always consult with your veterinarian before feeding raw organs or other raw food to your dog.
Raw beef bones provide minerals and nutrients that are part of a healthy, balanced diet for your dog.
No. Do not cook any bones you plan to feed your dog. Cooking can make the bones brittle and they can splinter when chewed, posing a choking and/or piercing hazard to your dog.
Each product in the Dog Box is packaged individually and frozen.
